Lane Johnson's Second-Team All-Pro designation still seems disrespectful

Lane Johnson is one of the best offensive lineman in the league. Hands down. Now in his 12th season with the Philadelphia Eagles, he has a number of accolades on his resume.

This season, he was again excellent. Head coach Nick Sirianni has always mentioned him as the best offensive tackle in football. He was named Second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press, but as greedy as this may sound, that feels like a slap in the face.

Our favorite right tackle reportedly isn't pleased with where he landed. Following the Eagles' Friday afternoon practice, taped to his locker was something we hope he will use as motivation.

Someone wants Lane Johnson to know what the AP's thoughts about him are, so they posted something to his locker to get his attention.

Penei Sewell, of the Detroit Lions, took First-team All-Pro honors over Johnson. Is Sewell good? He absolutely is. Is he better than Lane? He absolutely is not! Sewell trails Lane in every notable category in which we measure an offensive lineman's greatness.

There's now a sign taped to 65's locker to remind him of this.

Both Johnson and Sewell have made the playoffs. Sewell gets the bye week during the Wild Card Round, but there's a chance we may see their teams cross paths in the playoffs.

Johnson got a week off against the New York Giants to rest. He and his teammates should be healthy for their game vs. the Green Bay Packers during the Wild Card Round.

Five other Eagles players were also awarded All-Pro honors. They'll get a chance to show and prove vs. The Pack. Hopefully the home-field advantage (and Johnson's recent snub) will provide the spark Philly needs to ride to victory.
