Lightning Legend Scores First Goal With New Team

Steven Stamkos has scored his first goal with the Nashville Predators.

Tampa Bay Lightning legend Steven Stamkos had a very cold start to his tenure with the Nashville Predators. In his first four games with Nashville, he had zero points. However, he finally broke the ice in the Predators' latest contest against the Detroit Red Wings.

After receiving a feed from Predators star Filip Forsberg, Stamkos one-timed it home with a perfectly placed slapshot for the power-play goal. Stamkos is famous for his one-timer power-play goals, so it is not surprising in the slightest that this is how he scored his first with the Predators.

Stamkos will now look to build off this great goal. There is no question that he can, as he had 40 goals and 81 points in 79 games just this past season with the Lightning. Thus, don't be surprised if we see Stamkos explode offensively as he continues to adjust to the Predators' system.

Unfortunately for Stamkos, the Predators lost to the Red Wings by a 5-2 final score and are now 0-5-0 on the season.
