The Washington Commanders pulled off a miracle victory on Sunday. Jayden Daniels scrambled, extended the play, and threw a Hail Mary that was deflected right into the hands of Noah Brown to get the victory.
The Commanders escaped with the 18-15 win in a battle between Caleb Williams and Daniels, the first two picks in the 2024 NFL draft.
On Monday, the NFL X account posted a new clip of another angle of Daniels' heroic touchdown pass.
In it, Daniels was seen celebrating with his Commanders' teammates and coaching staff following the improbable win. There were plenty of reactions from the other players, including one from Daniels himself.
"I'm like that," Daniels said after celebrating with his teammates.
That was the first touchdown pass of the game for Daniels and he finished with 326 yards and no interceptions as the Commanders got the win.
Furthermore, Daniels' impressive rookie season continues and the Commanders now go to 6-2 on the season.
The Commanders have now won back-to-back games, and the rookie quarterback is among the candidates for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Next up for the Commanders is a road game against the New York Giants and then a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers before two straight NFC East showdowns.
All in all, the Hail Mary from Daniels was quite the moment for the rookie signal-caller and the Commanders.
