On Tuesday, the Lions' second year phenom Terrion Arnold shared his heartfelt thoughts on fallen former teammate Khyree Jackson, including his reason for changing his jersey number that had Lions fans reacting on social media.

"It's kind of just that extra motivation when you look down and you say, 'dang man, I got that 6 on and my brother living through me at the same time," Arnold said according to the Detroit Lions' Facebook account.

"We love you with every number you wear!" one fan said.

"Way to honor your friend," another said with a red heart picture.

"A great tribute," an additional reader added on the social media platform.

Jackson, Arnold's former teammate with at the University of Alabama, died in a car accident on July 6, 2024.

23-year-old driver Cory Clingman was involved in the accident and now faces 13 counts including driving under the influence and criminally negligent vehicular manslaughter as a result of the fatal accident.
