The Detroit Lions have an opportunity to improve their team later this week in the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The team is strong across the board, especially on offense, despite their disappointing playoff performance in a losing effort against the Washington Commanders this past January.
On Monday, trade rumors started by an NFL insider about former Lions first round pick and fan favorite caught the attention of fans across the country.
The speculation led to a late night response from Williams himself, who shared a clear five-word message with fans and well wishers on social media.
"Loyalty b4 any n everything," Williams wrote on his Instagram story.
"Obviously, this is a roster that's in really solid shape, allowing for the Lions to target certain needs (in the draft)," Sports Illustrated reporter Albert Breer said of Williams recently.
"Receiver's another spot to consider — with a fifth-year option decision coming on Jameson Williams, and some in NFL circles believing he could be traded."
Lions general manger Brad Holmes said he expects the Lions to keep Williams in March.
