The Detroit Lions are heading to Houston as we speak to take on the Texans, but first they made a ton of roster moves ahead of the game. Here's what they did:
A tough blow to the Lions special teams unit. Reeves-Maybin has been the best special teams player in the NFL for a while and now the Lions will be without him for the next four games due to a neck injury. Look for some of the young guys to step up.
This was always going to be a "we'll see" type situation. Thomas showed some promise in Cincinnati, but never really showed much in Detroit. Look for the Lions to try to get him back on the practice squad Tuesday.
Zylstra has earned this spot for sure. It's still a bit of a shocker he didn't make the initial 53-man roster. Lions head coach Dan Campbell talked last week about how he made it hard for the team to ignore and after three elevations, he's on the roster now.
Had a big game against the Titans, but struggled a bit against the Packers. Let's see what he's able to do in Houston. The Lions must feel good about him since they're not even bothering to use his third elevation.
The Lions really liked this guy this summer. With the injuries to Malcolm Rodriguez and now Reeves-Maybin, look for this kid to get some real time to show what he can do. There's a lot to liek with this player.
Turner was signed earlier this week and now he'll make his Lions debut on Sunday. The veteran linebacker is another guy filling in during injuries. He spent six seasons with the Cardinals before spending a bit of this year on the Texans practice squad.
This is an interesting one simply because we know Taylor Decker is out for this game, but we don't know who's going to play left tackle. We're about to find out. It could be Dan Skipper, or maybe the Lions give the former fifth-round pick the shot.
The Detroit Lions are riding high on their comeback win over the Houston Texans on Sunday, 26-23, but there’s always room for improvement. Bleacher Report’s Scouting Department believes one Kansas City Chiefs starter could be the perfect addition to the ...
Summary Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as Isaac in The Last of Us season 2 will add depth to the character. Including Isaac more prominently in the series could elevate the impact of Abby's narrative arc. Expanding Isaac's role beyond the video game ...
He's back to where he enjoyed his top success. The floundering Pittsburgh Penguins have made their first trade of what could eventually be many in the 2024-25 NHL season. They've sent forward Lars Eller to the Washington Capitals, and in return are ...
The Los Angeles Dodgers have made very little noise since celebrating their World Series victory with a parade through downtown Los Angeles and a rally at Dodger Stadium. Maybe the biggest nugget of news dropped when general manager Brandon Gomes said ...
The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-0, but knowing general manager Brett Veach and this front office, they’re also never satisfied when it comes to bolstering their organizational depth. Heading into Week 11, the weakest areas of their roster are probably left ...
