Love Island devotees were left stunned after Harrison Solomon announced his departure from the show, with his heartfelt farewell aired during Friday night's episode (July 18).
The 22-year-old had been on the receiving end of severe criticism from viewers for his handling of fellow Islanders Toni Laites and Lauren Wood, both of whom were reduced to tears multiple times throughout the series due to his indecisiveness.
It was only when he discovered that Lauren, 26, was set to be booted off the island following bombshell Angel Swift's arrival that Harrison's gaze shifted towards the villa exit. Before her departure, Lauren implored him to join her if he genuinely envisioned a future with her, reports OK!
While Harrison's last moments in the villa were broadcast on Friday night, Saturday's episode of Love Island: Unseen Bits (July 19) offered viewers a deeper look into the events that transpired - including a parting gift he received upon his exit.
As Harrison packed his bags, Harry tossed a waffle into his suitcase as a farewell token. Harrison took it with him as he left the villa, while Harry munched on one at the villa door, bidding adieu to his mate.

Since leaving the villa, Harrison has maintained that he envisions a future with Lauren and has even expressed his commitment to making a long-distance relationship work.
In his first chat since leaving the show, he spilled: "It was an emotional rollercoaster of a journey for me, there's never been a dull moment. I've obviously been involved in a few triangles. The first was with Toni and Helena, I was relatively new to the Villa so I wanted to explore connections and I came to the conclusion that Toni was the better suit for me.

"Then when I went to Casa there was an instant spark and connection with Lauren, I knew from day one there was something special there. When I came back from Casa something in the back of my mind was still thinking about Toni.

"If I had left with Lauren when Shakira had the choice to send me home, I think I would've always regretted not giving me and Toni one final go as we left on good terms before Casa. That's the reason I gave a little speech before the recoupling on the Terrace.

"As soon as I did that, I felt terrible towards Lauren. For two days, I tried to go tunnel vision with Toni but there was something holding me back. I felt like Lauren and I naturally gravitated towards each other, the connection we have is so so special I wasn't ready to leave it."
