Matt LaFleur makes his feelings clear about playing the Texans on Sunday

He says ‘I think they are pretty impressive’

Matt LaFleur spoke to the media this week about what he’s seen from C.J. Stroud and the Texans’ offense.

What have you seen so far from Houston?

Matt: Obviously, their record's really good and they just have the one loss to Minnesota. Offensively, they have a lot of great players. I think their offense is a lot different too when mixon is back in. The physicality with which he runs the football is so different than most so he'll be a big challenge. I think CJ Stroud is as talented as anybody he's got a lot of weapons to throw to. I think Bobby Slowick does a really good job with that offense.

Defensively, what strikes me is just their style of play and how hard and fast they get off the ball. Collectively as a unit, I think the whole D-line does a great job. It’s one of the top ranked defenses in the league right now so it'll be a great challenge for us.

It seemed like everyone around the League last year wanted to make the comparison between Love and Stroud. What do you see with those two guys?

Matt: I just think they're young quarterbacks that are capable of making all the throws…I do have a lot of respect for C.J. Stroud and what he was able to do a year ago. Just to be able to come into the league as a young player and put up the type of numbers that he did and lead them into the playoffs, I think that was pretty impressive.
