Matt LaFleur’s Blunt Admission After Jayden Reed’s Addition to Injury List

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was among the top performers on his team back in Week 1, albeit in a game that resulted in a 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Reed paced all players from either side in that contest with 138 receiving yards and a touchdown on just four catches and six targets.

However, his chances of not just replicating that huge performance but also playing in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts are now in question after his name showed up on the Packers’ latest injury report.

In any case, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur has so much respect for Reed, who is in his second year in the NFL.

“He is a dog, and I mean that in the highest regard,” LaFleur said about Reed, per Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“You could see it last year playing through injury. He was beat up pretty good last year and we continued to feed him the football. … He continues to get up and battles.”

Joining Reed on the injured report are quarterback Jordan Love who has a knee issue and running back MarShawn Lloyd due to a hamstring trouble.

There is still time for the Packers to upgrade the status, and it doesn’t seem he is nursing something serious. It can be recalled that he missed a practice heading in the Week prior to the Eagles game but was later deemed active.
