The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of needs that they need to fill in the NFL Draft. Micah Parsons particularly wanted the Jerry Jones-led front office to get someone who could share the defensive load with him. So, it was quite a surprise when they selected Tyler Booker out of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Micah Parsons' face could not be painted when he heard the Cowboys' 12th pick of the NFL Draft. He then followed it up with an interesting take on the selection, via Bleacher Report.
"I am excited about the pick. This guy is a beast, he is a beast... I just wanted to see that on my side of the ball. That's it. I'm not mad at the pick," the Cowboys star said while laughing
Cowboys fans immediately picked up on Parsons' reaction when they saw the live stream.
"Micah was praying for help with their pathetic run defense," and "Micah did not like that pick and he had to remember he was live... say what u want," were statements that were thrown around while the NFL Draft was ongoing.
Posts like "Bruh man's reaction killing me," and "That’s all pain" were also making rounds on X (formerly Twitter).
Booker is a fairly solid choice for a team that will no longer have Zack Martin in the upcoming season. He only allowed one sack during his career at Alabama. To put that number into perspective, he played 970 passing block plays at guard.
But some Cowboys fans just could not fathom that this was their 12th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
"No greater Draft Day tradition like Micah Parsons getting mad at the Cowboys," a fan said.
Will this sentiment by the Cowboys star and their faithful eventually die down, such that they give the former Alabama star a chance?
