Multiple Cowboys, Eagles Players Facing NFL Punishment After Sunday's Game

The Dallas Cowboys showed more fight in their end-of-game brawl with the Philadelphia Eagles than they did at any point during their 41-7 loss on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

In the closing minutes of multi-touchdown blowout, things popped off in the back right corner of the end zone after Cowboys receiver Jalen Brooks grabbed Eagles safety Sydney Brown around the waist and drug him to the turf.

As they got up, Brooks gave Brown a shove, and Cowboys cornerback Troy Pride shoved Brown by the helmet, prompting Brown to grab Pride and sling him to the ground as officials and other Cowboys players jumped into the pile.

An additional video surfaced a few hours after the game taken by a fan standing in the tunnel just a few feet away showing what happened when the brawl spilled into the stands and out of view of the broadcast cameras.

Multiple officials and a police officer were all drug into the dust-up, and all Brown, Brooks and Pride were all ejected from the game. Fines and/or suspensions seem likely for all three as several punches were thrown and officials were put in harm’s way.

The NFL sent a memo to teams last October stating “fighting is irreconcilable with the league's values and is never acceptable” and threatening significant punishment will be handed down to players or teams involved in fights before or during games.

Per the league memo, players involved in fights are “subject to ejection, suspension and/or “significant fine,” and any players or team personnel joining an existing fight could be “subject to more significant accountability measures.”

Philly dominated the game, out-gaining Dallas 376 yards to 286 despite playing its second- and third-string QB — Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee — who combined for 197 yards passing, three touchdowns and zero turnovers.

With the win, the Eagles swept the season series, outscoring the Cowboys 75-13 in two games.
