NFL Analyst Makes Bold Patrick Mahomes Comparison for Titans' Potential Draft Prospect

One player in particular has analysts convinced that he will be taken as the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.

Cam Ward has climbed mock drafts throughout this offseason and is the heavy favorite for the top pick.

With this being said, the quarterback from the University of Miami has drawn some player comparisons to some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

One of those comparisons is to former NFL MVP and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"He reminds me of Mahomes... My bet is that Cam Ward will have that kind of impact in Tennessee." ESPN's Louis Riddick shared on Wednesday.

Ward's ability to move around in the pocket and shake off pass rushers looks something of former Pittsburgh Steeler, Ben Roethlisberger, but his size is nearly identical to Patrick Mahomes'.

Mahomes, listed at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, looks close to Cam Ward's 6-foot-2, 223-pound frame. This can be something to take note of, but it's the players' throwing ability that sticks out for Louis Riddick.

"With how he can be unconventional. Throw the football from all different kinds of weird angles, and then just put a bunch of horsepower on it when he needs to." Riddick added.

Although it's a really high ceiling for the draft prospect, Ward's shown that he is deserving of the No. 1 overall pick, being a higher prospect than fellow quarterbacks Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, and Jalen Milroe, to name a few.

Tennessee will have the chance to pick between the top popular prospects in Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, as well as Abdul Carter in the draft – it'll be exciting to see what the final decision is.
