NFL Posts 7-Word Message After Historic Jayden Daniels Announcement

The NFL itself knows very well how historic Jayden Daniels' rookie season has been.

After leading the Washington Commanders to the AFC championship, Daniels has made plenty of history. By beating the top-seeded Detroit Lions in the divisional round, Daniels became just the second rookie QB to take down the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

Not only that, but with his 299 passing yards and 51 rushing yards against the Lions, he became the first rookie ever to record 300 total yards each in two postseason games. In the wild card against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Daniels tallied 268 passing yards and 36 rushing yards.

On Monday, the NFL revealed another feat that Daniels accomplished, noting that he's only the sixth rookie ever to play in a conference championship game.

"Jayden’s rookie season keeps getting more historic," the NFL further said about the Commanders' signal-caller.

Jayden Daniels and the Commanders face the Buffalo Bills next in the NFC championship, and it's another opportunity for the young signal-caller to make history.

No rookie QB has ever made it to or started in a Super Bowl, but Daniels is just one win away from making that happen.

Sure enough, it won't be easy, especially against a Buffalo Bills team led by an MVP candidate in Josh Allen. Nonetheless, after back-to-back upsets, it would be wrong to write off Daniels and his Washington squad.
