Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers are not having the strongest of starts to the 2024 NFL season. They have lost three of their first six games, but at least they are back on track after a dominant Thursday Night Football victory on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.
The 36-24 win over the Seahawks was a great momentum builder for San Francisco, which definitely needs it, as the 49ers are set to meet their Super Bowl LVIII tormentors in Week 7.
Bosa is already looking forward to the Chiefs showdown, which will be at San Francisco’s home, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
"Definitely trying to get the monkey off our back with that one," Bosa said after the Seahawks game, per Bridget Condon of the NFL Network.
It is one thing to feel excited for a matchup against the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, and it’s another to take them down. But at least the 49ers will have their shot at revenge – and at ending their four-game losing streak versus Kansas City.
While the rematch isn’t going to take place on the grandest stage of football, all eyes will still be on that contest, especially given that San Francisco has a chance to become the first team this season to defeat Patrick Mahomes and company. The Chiefs entered their Week 6 bye with an immaculate 5-0 record.
During the 49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl showdown last February in Las Vegas, Bosa had six total tackles and three quarterback hits in a 25-22 loss. He was also in good form against the Seahawks, as the 26-year-old defensive end had four combined tackles and two QB hits.
