Packers' Josh Jacobs Reveals Major Shade Towards Raiders

The Green Bay Packers surprised much of the NFL when they swooped into free agency last offseason and signed running back Josh Jacobs following his stint with the Las Vegas Raiders. Along with that move came the departure of longtime Packers' star running back Aaron Jones.

While the move was surprising at the time, the 2024 season showed that Green Bay made the right choice.

Jacobs put together a strong season as the workhorse back for the Packers. He carried the football 301 times for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns and played in all 17 regular season games.

In addition to his rushing numbers, Jacobs also caught 36 passes for 342 yards and a score.

As the 2025 season continues to draw closer, Jacobs spoke out and revealed major criticism about his tenure with the Raiders in an appearance on "Bussin' With the Boys."

“It gets to a certain point you’re not going to keep disrespecting me," Jacobs said. "You're bringing in these coaches every other year, new coaches, and now, these new coaches is telling me I didn't already have three 1,000-yard seasons. You telling me I have to prove myself like I'm a rookie, you treating me like a rookie. You telling me I got to play in the Hall of Fame game. Then we start losing and then you feel like you need me and then you play me and I play good. Then afterwards you're basically like, ‘Yeah you played good, but we’re going to franchise tag you.’"

During his time in Las Vegas, Jacobs put together some big years. He struggled in a couple of those seasons, but had a career year in 2022.

Back in that 2022 campaign, Jacobs racked up 1,653 rushing yards and 12 touchowns on 340 carries, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He also caught 53 passes for 400 yards.

Following his first season in Green Bay, he was clearly enjoying himself. Jacobs will be a huge part of the Packers' Super Bowl pursuit in 2025 and seems to have found an organization that he feels at home with.
