Packers legend hilariously angers Bears fans with Caleb Williams shade

In a world full of TV show arguments, this is certainly one of them.

Caleb Williams' Progress On Full Display In Week 5

There hasn't been a ton of Green Bay Packers news to talk about recently, but it's fine because the Chicago Bears really Bearsed today.

After one of the more embarrassing losses of Chicago's season on Sunday, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon that they had fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. Why did they let him hang out in the building all day Monday? Great question!

And because nothing plays quite like Chicago Bears Panic, the NFL world has spent all day trying to figure out who's really to blame. That includes the crew at The Facility, a show featuring former Packers wide receiver James Jones.

Jones got some *stuff* off his chest about the Bears, Williams, and just quarterbacks in general.

James Jones places the blame for the Bears' season squarely on Caleb Williams

"You've been playing quarterback your whole life," Jones said. "One thing you know how to do at the quarterback position is throw. He's missing simple throws. And we're trying to say it's the coordinators, or the players, and all that. He's missing simple, wide-open throws. I understand that certain plays could be schemed better, but certain plays are schemed to be open too ... Beyond the coaching, Caleb Williams is not playing good right now. And that is the bottom line. That's it. And he got a coach fired because he wasn't playing well."

I mean, I guess. It's not the most convincing argument that's been brought up in the wake of Waldron's dismissal. There is certainly an underreported part of the Bears' struggles that center around the fact that Williams doesn't seem to be as transformational a prospect as people expected him to be – which I think Jones is trying to get at – but anyone who's watched the Bears this season can comfortably tell you that Williams isn't the problem. And Waldron certainly didn't get fired because of Williams' performances.

Anyways, that's about all the Bears defending I can do for one day. Let's get back to having a nice laugh at the fact that they're in the middle of yet another Chicago Bears Cycle of Misery, and the fact that the Packers can now ruin their season – like, ruin ruin it – on Sunday afternoon.

No one's gotten the Bears to fire a coach midway through a season yet, but if anyone's up to the task, it's the Green Bay Packers.
