Packers vs. Eagles player props for anytime TD scorers: Christian Watson, Dallas Goedert

The NFL season continues with another stand alone matchup on Friday night, as the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles are set to meet at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil at 8:15 p.m. ET on Peacock.

Packers vs. Eagles player props for anytime TD scorers: Christian Watson, Dallas Goedert

Beyond spread and over/under bets, I'm taking a look at Packers vs. Eagles player props — specifically anytime touchdown scorers for Friday Night Football.

Here are my two picks for Friday's game.

Gilles Gallant's Packers vs Eagles Player Props

  • Christian Watson Anytime Touchdown (+210, bet365)
  • Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown (+240, Caesars)

Christian Watson Anytime Touchdown (+210, Bet365)

Despite dealing with a hamstring injury all year, Christian Watson still managed to score five touchdowns last season, with four of those touchdowns coming in his last three regular-season outings, before getting hurt again and serving as a limited contributor in the playoffs.

To begin this season, however, reports from Packers media claim Watson has remained healthy for the entirety of training camp, which puts him in a prime position to bounce back early this year.

Personally, I prefer Watson over Romeo Doubs. Watson provides more big-play ability and also has a higher aDOT. Most of Doubs’ big games last season came toward the beginning of the season when Watson was out. Doubs saw 17 red-zone targets last year, and nine of those targets were in the first three games of the season.

The Eagles' secondary allowed the second-most touchdowns to wide receivers last season, ranked 29th in defensive DVOA against the pass. CB James Bradberry is out. Darius Slay is a year older. If Watson is back and fully healthy, this is a prime spot for him to bounce back.

Pick: Christian Watson Anytime Touchdown (+210)

Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown (+240, Caesars)

Last season was a bit of a down year for Goedert, but this could be a great matchup for him.

The Packers allowed seven touchdowns to tight ends last year, which ranked bottom-five in the NFL in that department. They also ranked 23rd in defensive DVOA against the tight end position.

The last two times we saw Green Bay, opposing tight ends combined for four touchdowns against them in last year's playoffs; Jake Ferguson scored three, George Kittle scored one.

With Goedert back healthy, he’ll continue to see less defensive attention given all the other high-end weapons on the field. He’ll also likely play over 80% of snaps with Grant Calcaterra being more of a run blocker.

Look, with the way the top guys for Eagles TD odds are steamed for a primetime game, I’d rather take a shot on Goedert to get into the end zone at better odds.

Pick: Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown (+240)
