Patrick Mahomes Issues Hilarious Apology on Friday

It has been a busy past few days for Patrick Mahomes as the Kansas City Chiefs star hosts his annual 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Vegas Golf Classic at Shadow Golf Creek Club in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

As the name implies, the highlight of the three-day event is a charity golf tournament, which held its final round on Friday. Mahomes also took part in the tournament, and the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback kicked things off with a brief speech.

As Mahomes thanked everyone in attendance for gracing his event, the 29-year-old also decided to issue an advance apology for what he intended to do on the course.

"Sorry, I'm gonna take first place," he said.

Mahomes' message was met by laughs from the crowd in attendance as the six-time Pro Bowler joked about going out and winning it all.

However, knowing Mahomes and the competitive spirit that runs through his veins, he was probably serious with his pre-game declaration. After all, not too many folks go out on the course not wanting to win, and this appears to be the case for Mahomes, regardless of the fact that this happens to be his own tournament.

Whatever the case might be, all this is for a very charitable cause. According to its website, the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation is "dedicated to improving the lives of children." The non-profit organization, which Mahomes established in 2019, aims to fulfill this objective by supporting "initiatives that focus on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes."
