Running back Boston Scott has found some work in Pennsylvania, joining the Pittsburgh Steelers as a member of the practice squad to begin the 2024 season, according to Jordan Schultz. Scott spent the 2024 preseason with the Los Angeles Rams before getting released.
Scott spent the first six years of his professional career with the Philadelphia Eagles, after getting drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2018. The Eagles signed him from the Saints practice squad in December 2018.
He played in two games as a rookie that year before becoming a regular piece of the Eagles roster for five season. From 2019 through 2023, Scott appeared in 73 games and made 12 starts.
Over his career, Scott has 1861 yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns. He was also a functional piece of Eagles passing game at times out of the backfield.

Scott saw his role diminish in the 2023 season before hitting the open market during the offseason and landing on the Rams before getting released upon roster cuts being made.
The Steelers 53-man roster after cuts
One of the biggest roster stories for the Steelers is the quarterback battle between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. After the Steelesr’ final preseason game, head coach Mike Tomlin gave an update on when he’ll decide on who will be the starting QB.
“We’ll make a decision at the end of our work week,” Tomlin said, per ESPN. “This upcoming week we have three days of Steelers vs. Steelers work and why not do it then?
