Postgame Handshake Between Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix Jr. Draws Attention

The NFL world was treated to a tremendous matchup on "Sunday Night Football" as the Washington Commanders outlasted the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in overtime.

Rookie Jayden Daniels connected on a touchdown pass to tight end Zach Ertz, not only winning the game but also clinching an NFC playoff berth—an astounding achievement for a team that finished 31st last season.

But Daniels wasn’t the only rookie quarterback to have a phenomenal game on Sunday night. He went toe-to-toe with Michael Penix Jr., whom the Falcons drafted in the first round this season and recently named their starting quarterback.

Both quarterbacks left it all on the field on a national stage, and their mutual respect was on full display during their postgame handshake following the thrilling contest.
