In the wake of Jalen Ramsey's trade to the Steelers, one former 49ers running back opted to sound off on he and Ramsey's former employer.
When running back Raheem Mostert left the San Francisco 49ers after the 2021 season, it surely didn't seem as if he harbored any ill resentment.
After all, the Niners were the one team that finally gave him a real chance to emerge as a true featured tailback after he previously was little more than just a special teams journeyman.
Mostert's destination in 2022, the Miami Dolphins, might not occupy the same kind of place in his heart, however.
This, in the wake of Miami's blockbuster trade of All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a deal that sent another All-Pro defensive back, Minkah Fitzpatrick, back to South Beach.
The now-Las Vegas Raiders running back who spent the previous three seasons with the Dolphins quickly took to social media to express some noteworthy opinions on how his former employer treated both Ramsey and Smith:

"Hot take: Be a Pro-bowler on the Dolphins, get treated like sh*t. Happy for my guys though! GO BALL OUT!!," Mostert posted on Twitter/X.
Mostert, who quite literally carried San Francisco through much of 2019 and especially in that season's NFC Championship game, enjoyed a Pro Bowl 2023 campaign in Miami when he led the NFL with 21 all-purpose touchdowns.
However, the following year, injuries and a lack of involvement led to a disappointing 278-yard campaign despite playing in 13 games, and this fueled Mostert's frustration with his now-former employer.
Both Ramsey and Smith appeared frustrated with the Dolphins, too, which doesn't exactly bode well for another former 49ers employee, head coach Mike McDaniel.
Although we've yet to see whether or not Mostert will fire off shots in his direction as well.
Either way, as Mostert finds out entering 2025, a change of scenery for both Ramsey and Smith might be a blessing, and he can certainly be "happy for my guys" along the way.
