The news broke on July 7 that Aaron Phypers had filed for divorce from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards. Naturally, there have been numerous reactions, but an insider has recently shared what Brandi Glanville allegedly said about the separation. Plus, Denise’s daughter, Sami Sheen, spoke about toxic relationships one day before the filing went public.
Denise, 54, married Aaron, 52, in 2018. There has been controversy surrounding their marriage from the start, mostly due to his wellness center, which has now closed. Notably, Aaron has been sued, and there were even attempts to garnish Denise’s income to settle his debts.
Following the news of their divorce, an insider spoke to OK! Magazine. They said that Brandi “has a soft spot for Denise and was saddened to hear” about it.
However, the troubled reality star was “not surprised” by the news of the separation. The insider also mentioned the history between Brandi and Denise. Notably, Brandi claimed that they had a sexual encounter in the past, but Denise denied the allegation.
The insider continued, “Denise did her dirty and she still can sympathize, but, you know, the age-old adage when you’re [allegedly] bringing another person into your bed, they say the marriage is dead. Once that pineapple [allegedly] turns upside down, divorce is on the rise.”
They went on, “[It] doesn’t help when you start wearing jackets upside down to cocktail parties and bringing your own personal tequila. Denise has been off for quite some time, and the way she treated Brandi was brutal.” The person also named some of the things Denise has allegedly done to Brandi over the years.
According to them, “She went after Brandi’s agent and got it. She went after Brandi’s job and got it. Brandi was demoted. Finally, she went after Brandi and, in the end, got her, too. Brandi was left being called a liar while Denise got a spinoff show.” They added, “It truly is not fair. Andy [Cohen] sure seems to have his favorites.”
In other news related to Denise and Aaron’s divorce, Sami discussed toxic relationships one day before the news broke. She said in a TikTok, “If you’re dating someone toxic, but you don’t really know if they’re toxic, deep down you know, but you’re like, ‘Is it that bad? I can look past this. Well, he’s so good to me some days, but then other days he treats me like s***.'”
Denise’s daughter continued, “You need to ask yourself, if you had a daughter and she was dating a man like this, what would you tell her? And then, boom. You’re like, ‘OK, I would tell her to break up with him, block him, move on, like he’s a piece of s***, treats her like s***.’ I don’t know, that works for me because sometimes it’s so easy for me to overlook everything. But if I’m imagining having a kid and she’s getting treated like this, absolutely the f*** not.”
Sami added, “Picturing someone else in your exact situation, and if they came to you being like, ‘Hey, my boyfriend is doing x, y, and z to me, I need your advice.’ You need to tell them what to do, and then there’s your answer.”
She also said, “I understand more than anyone it is so hard and almost feels impossible sometimes to get out of a toxic relationship, and the judgement from people when you keep going back to that person. It’s a whole cycle. So I understand it’s not easy, but this is just a tip to kind of help you have a clear head a little bit.”
Sami captioned the TikTok video, “My advice on how to remove the rose colored glasses in a toxic relationship.”
