Russell Wilson stood out as one of the top performers in Sunday's full slate of NFL games. This is after the one-time Super Bowl champion quarterback turned in arguably his best outing in a Steelers uniform as he led Pittsburgh to a thrilling 44-38 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The fans were treated to a vintage performance from the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback as Wilson completed 29-of-38 passes for 414 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
After the win, the former North Carolina State and Wisconsin star took to social media to send an eight-word message.
"W!!! Full TEAM effort! Proud of this group @steelers," Wilson posted on X.
The Steelers came into Sunday's game following a disappointing 24-19 loss against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. That defeat snapped their five-game winning streak, so it was important for them to get back to the W column on Sunday.
Wilson, who just celebrated his 36th birthday on Friday, knew what was at stake, and he made sure to lead his team to victory against the Bengals. As he implied in his post, however, Wilson could not have done it without his teammates.
The Bengals have improved to 9-3 after Sunday's victory. They get a chance to avenge their Week 12 loss in their next outing as they prepare to face the Browns again on Sun, Dec. 8, at Acrisure Stadium.
