Sam Frost looks back at her 'insane' time on The Bachelor and says she was 'naive' to take part: 'I don't know what was going through my brain'

Sam Frost rose to fame on The Bachelor before starring in her own spin-off The Bachelorette

But the 35-year-old says she looks back at that time and cringes - blaming her age and 'naivety' on the choices she made.

'I was so young and now I often think … what was I thinking?' the former reality star told the Mental As Anyone podcast.

'I think about that all the time in terms of things that I said, things that I did, honestly I don't know what was going through my brain' she went on.

'At the time, I had very pure intentions of being so excited to have the possibility to date the most eligible man in Australia and I was so excited for that.'

Sam has a stark comment to make about returning for a second round on the show, where she chose Sasha Mielczarek.

'I am insane,' she said of coming back for The Bachelorette after her time on The Bachelor ended in disaster.

Sam says that while she 'regrets' things she has 'said and done' she doesn't regret her time on the show as it led to her acting career starring on Home and Away.

In the 2014 season of The Bachelor, Blake Garvey got down on one knee and proposed to Sam in a dramatic finale - only for him to dump her shortly after for Louise Pillidge, who had come third

Sam then appeared on The Bachelorette in 2015 but split with her winner Sasha Mielczarek soon after.

The actress is now expecting her second child with fiancé Jordie Hansen.

She posted to Instagram to share the exciting news with a photo of the family all dressed in green and her growing baby bump.

'Our family is growing from three to four,' she began.

'It has been a wild ride but we are extremely grateful our little one is healthy and doing okay in there. We are all very excited to meet you, especially your big brother!'

The actress continued to thank family and friends for the 'love and support over these past few months'.

The soon-to-be mother of two didn't reveal just how far along she is in her pregnancy, however, if her caption is to be believed, she has been pregnant for a few months.

Sam and Jordie announced their engagement on July 7, 2022.

'Huge thank you to our family and friends for all their love and support over these past few months. Love you,' she captioned the post.

In August the actress revealed pregnancy was not easy for her.

'To be honest, I have actually surprised myself,' she told Confidential on Nova radio, discussing what parenting has been like for her since the baby arrived.

'I found pregnancy really difficult and I thought that would be perhaps a reflection on what is going to happen coming up, but to be honest I am a little more relaxed than I thought.'

She added her newborn was 'honestly fantastic' and she was enjoying motherhood
