San Antonio Brahmas Defensive Tackle Jalen Dalton Signs With Dallas Cowboys

   

ARLINGTON, TEXAS (Oct. 16, 2024) – The United Football League has announced that San Antonio Brahmas defensive tackle Jalen Dalton has signed with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. Dalton becomes the 80th player from the UFL to sign an NFL contract this off season and the 12th Brahma to sign an NFL contract this off season.

Dalton adds to the Brahmas NFL signing list of defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman (New York Jets), inside linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (Detroit Lions), offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga (Minnesota Vikings), outside linebacker Wyatt Ray (Miami Dolphins), running back Anthony McFarland Jr. (Miami Dolphins), long snapper Rex Sunahara (Cleveland Browns), wide receiver Jontre’ Kirklin (San Francisco 49ers), outside linebacker Zach Morton (Green Bay Packers), offensive lineman Kohl Levao (New York Jets), defensive lineman Prince Emili (Atlanta Falcons) and offensive lineman Julién Davenport (Atlanta Falcons). As with the other San Antonio signees, the Brahmas will retain Dalton’s rights should he return to the UFL.

A Clemmons, North Carolina native who played collegiately at North Carolina, Dalton played in seven games for the Brahmas and recorded four tackles for loss and two sacks. The 6-6 defensive tackle finished with 12 tackles and three pass breakups for the No. 1 ranked defense in the UFL.

Sunahara made his NFL debut with the Cleveland Browns last Sunday, Oct. 13 after signing to the active roster last week. He was with the Browns in the training camp and made the initial practice roster. 

The Brahmas had another three players sign to NFL teams who are slated to play in 2025: Marcus Haynes (Cleveland Browns), wide receiver Matt Landers (New England Patriots) and running back Hassan Hall (Arizona Cardinals).
