Saquon Barkley’s Sideline Exchange with Nick Sirianni During Eagles-Giants Goes Viral

The Philadelphia Eagles came out with a statement win on Sunday as they made easy work of the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, 28-3.

This also happened to be Saquon Barkley's first game against his former team after the two-time Pro Bowl running back took his talents to Philly during the offseason. Barkley gave the Giants a stern reminder of what they were missing after turning in one of the best performances of his career.

This came in the form of 17 carries for 176 yards and one touchdown. Needless to say, Barkley came to play against the Giants.

In fact, Barkley had a chance to set a personal best in the fourth quarter. However, when asked by head coach Nick Sirianni if he wanted to go for the record, the former Rookie of the Year opted to just sit out the remainder of the game.

"It's all good," Barkley told Sirianni after the Eagles coach offered to bring him back in the game to potentially set a new career high in yardage. "... It's all good, I'd rather see the young boys eat."

As Sirianni pointed out during their sideline exchange, Barkley was just 13 yards away from his career high. There was more than enough time in the fourth quarter, too, so Barkley would have probably set a new record had he decided to play on.

The game was out of hand at that point, though, and Barkley thought that he would rather let the younger players on the team get some minutes in.

This clip has gone completely viral, amassing close to two million views in a little over 24 hours (as of writing).

This simply speaks volumes of how good Barkley is as a player and how the Eagles have added a real gem to their squad. Perhaps more importantly, though, it also goes to show what kind of teammate Barkley is.
