Star Trek: Discovery season 5 is coming to home video in August, and so is a boxed set of the complete Star Trek: Discovery series. Star Trek: Discovery season 5 sent Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the crew of the USS Discovery on its final mission: an intergalactic treasure hunt for the literal power of creation. With more adventure, heart, and callbacks to Star Trek's legacy, Star Trek: Discovery season 5 was a rousing and satisfying conclusion to the series that sparked a new golden age for Star Trek on Paramount+.
Paramount Home Video announced that Star Trek: Discovery: The Final Season will arrive on DVD, Blu-ray, and limited edition Blu-ray Steelbook on August 27. Containing all 10 episodes of Star Trek: Discovery season 5, The Final Season set also includes nearly 2 hours of special features. Also releasing on August 27 is Star Trek: Discovery: The Complete Series, which will be available on Blu-ray and DVD. Featuring all 65 episodes and over 15 hours of special features, Star Trek: Discovery: The Complete Series also comes with a bonus disc that takes you on a never-before-seen journey through all five seasons with the cast and crew. Will Star Trek: Discovery Season 6 Or A Movie Happen?

Star Trek: Discovery ends with season 5 as the final season, and there are no plans for Star Trek: Discovery season 6. Instead, Paramount+ is focusing on its next two live-action Star Trek series: the upcoming seasons 3 and 4 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and the next Star Trek show, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which is a spinoff set in Star Trek: Discovery's 32nd century. With Star Trek on Paramount+ streamlining content, Star Trek: Discovery season 6 isn't in the cards.
It's not out of the realm of possibility to one day bring back Star Trek: Discovery's cast for a reunion film.
However, Star Trek is all about possibilities, and a Star Trek: Discovery streaming movie isn't out of the question, although there are no known plans for any Discovery reunion movie in the immediate future. Made for streaming Star Trek movies on Paramount+ will formally launch with the upcoming Star Trek: Section 31, and it's not out of the realm of possibility to one day bring back Star Trek: Discovery's cast for a reunion film. After all, Star Trek: Discovery's ending showed the USS Discovery's final mission in the 33rd century, but there are potentially more late 32nd-century voyages for Captain Michael Burnham that fans could see someday.
