Steelers' Russell Wilson Stuns Teammates With Insane Christmas Gifts

Like many teams across the league, the Pittsburgh Steelers will give out Christmas gifts to their fellow teammates. Quarterbacks are known for dishing out the best ones, especially to their offensive lineman. Even Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers, who is still on his rookie seventh-round pick contract, showed his appreciation  by buying new cars for every member of his offensive line. If anyone deserves to get rewarded first, it's the unsung group of personal protectors that open up the entire offense every single week.

On his Instagram account, offensive lineman John Leglue revealed an assortment of presents from Russell Wilson. Even though the lineman is just a member of the practice squad, Wilson clearly appreciates anyone that will stand in front of him and protect him.

The gift basket contains a $10,000 gift card for Airbnb, Louis Vuitton merchandise, Good Man Brand shoes, and a bottle of 10 To 1 rum. Wilson clearly knows how to take care of his teammates, whether they are starters or practice squad guys that may not see the field. It's safe to say that Leglue will be having a very merry Christmas this year.

As revealed on the Steelers' official page, every member of the offensive line got the same gift.

Wilson himself is a co-founder of Good Man Brand, which explains why that is in the gift basket. It also helps that his wife, Ciara, is an owner of 10 To 1. Even with all the brand deals in there, it's still great to see Wilson showing his love and support for everyone on the team. That is an unforgettable package that Leglue and the rest of the line will cherish.

The post also shows that every player and coach was gifted shoes from the Good Man Brand. Wilson spread the cheer around the team, but as most teams do, the best and most luxurious gifts go to the offensive line. Everyone deserves something, but the guys that get the least amount of credit get the best gifts.

Steelers Hope To Give Fans The Best Christmas Gift Of All

Despite all the incredible gifts the team received, nothing would top a Christmas Day victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. A win would not only improve their record to 11-5 but also put them in prime position to claim the AFC North crown. From there, the only scenario in which they could lose the division would be a Week 18 loss combined with a Baltimore Ravens victory.

Luckily, the Steelers are the home team for this game. In an odd scenario like this, the home team has an advantage. Even with how good the Chiefs are, it will be a challenge for them to go on the road on a short week on Christmas and play with all of their heart and soul. It is definitely possible, as they are the better team, but would it happen?

The Steelers are looking to avoid yet another late-season collapse. In 2023, their Christmas was saved by Mason Rudolph. In 2024, however, they don't have surprise Rudolph magic to conjure up a holiday domination. They will need every healthy body they have to go up against the defending Super Bowl champions. It's a tall task but one Pittsburgh can certainly manage.

Playing Wednesday afternoon football was not how either the Steelers or the Chiefs envisioned their holiday going early in the 2024 calendar year, but one of these teams will have to take on the adversity and win. Can Pittsburgh do it following two tough losses? Steeler Nation is eager to find out on Wednesday.
