Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley has finally addressed the rude treatment that the fans gave Taylor Swift during Super Bowl LIX, and Swifties are now reacting to his message.
During Sunday's Super Bowl LIX, Swift attended the game at the Superdome in New Orleans to show her support for her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. However, when the pop star was shown on the jumbotron, she was met with loud boos from the Eagles fans in attendance.
Swift seemed to be confused by the reception she got, as she appeared to ask, "What's going on?" amid the loud boos.
Barkley, for his part, didn't appreciate the gesture from Eagles fans and took issue with it.
"I remember that they showed her on the Jumbotron and she got booed," Barkley shared. "I don't get why she was getting hate there, she's there supporting her significant other and made the game bigger."

After a Taylor Swift fan page shared Saquon Barkley's statement on X, several Swifties took to the reply section to share their appreciation for the Eagles superstar.
"He's always been a good one," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "That's a real man right there. Instead of joining the Men hate Taylor Swift cult he stood up for what's right."
"@saquon tay blessings coming your way sir," a fan further stated.
"Yes, that's classy on Saquon's side. It does hype the NFL, too..." a commenter added.
Another supporter shared, "Saquon I am fond of you."
A sixth Swiftie said, "This is such a lovely thing to say that he did not need to. What a lovely man, I'm so glad that he won a Super Bowl. I hope he enters the HOF."
For what it's worth, it's not only Barkley who called out the booing of Swift. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac called the action "lame," highlighting that it's just unfair to give the "Bad Blood" hitmaker such treatment.
