The Houston Texans found themselves in familiar territory in the 2024 NFL playoffs - shorthanded offensively. In 2023, Houston shocked everyone and won the AFC South, following that up with a huge wild card win over the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, not having Tank Dell or another compliment to Nico Collins led to a 34-10 blowout loss.
The Texans took this to heart and made a huge splash by trading for Stefon Diggs. The four-time Pro Bowler with the Buffalo Bills was meant to be the reliable underneath target that would complete one of the top trios in the NFL alongside Collins and Dell. Alas, Diggs suffered a torn ACL in the middle of the season, and Dell suffered a season-ending knee injury for the second straight year just before the playoffs. The Texans won their wild card game against the Chargers, but the lack of weapons hurt them in the loss to the Chiefs in the divisional round. Now, they could be losing Diggs all together.
The star receiver is set to hit free agency, and Zack Cook of SportsGrid predicts that he will land with the New York Giants.

Texans WR Stefon Diggs Sparks Cardi B Dating Rumors After Alleged Appearance
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs has faced growing speculation about where he could land next season, but the All-Pro was embroiled in a different kind of rumor this week.
Diggs was reportedly spotted with rapper Cardi B, with a video emerging on social media this week claiming to show the pair together at a club. Though there was no identifying information about where the video was taken or confirmation that Diggs and Cardi B were together, this is not the first time the pair has faced dating rumors.
As NJ.com reported last October, the pair were accused of carrying on a secret relationship after Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, had split from Offset after seven years of marriage.
Diggs endured a turbulent season with the Texans after being traded by the Buffalo Bills last offseason, suffering a torn ACL that cut short his season. He now heads to free agency with an uncertain NFL future.
Marcus Mosher of The 33rd Team predicted that Diggs could find a new home with the Los Angeles Chargers. Mosher projected Diggs to land a one-year deal worth $14 million.
"It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Chargers need wide receiver help," Mosher wrote. "Quentin Johnston just isn’t reliable enough to be the No. 1 X-receiver, and Joshua Palmer can’t stay on the field. Ladd McConkey was the team’s leading receiver from the slot, but adding Diggs would give them a viable and reliable option on the outside."
Diggs has not given clarity on his plans for the coming NFL season -- and has also avoided comment on the rumors he is dating Cardi B.
