Titans Consider Trade for Chiefs Pass Rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah:
The Tennessee Titans are exploring potential trades to bolster their pass rush as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season. Following the unexpected retirement of free agent signee Lorenzo Carter, the Titans added Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jihad Ward to their roster. However, management may seek further enhancements to the defensive line, particularly in the form of Kansas City Chiefs pass rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah.
Anudike-Uzomah’s Struggles in Kansas City
The Chiefs selected Anudike-Uzomah with a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, recognizing his potential as one of the premier pass rushers available. During his final two seasons at Kansas State, he showcased his talent by tallying 19.5 sacks, which made him a promising prospect. Yet, his transition to the NFL has been less than stellar.
In his first two seasons with Kansas City, Anudike-Uzomah has recorded just three sacks and 25 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. His limited playing time suggests that he has struggled to establish himself in the Chiefs’ defensive scheme. This ongoing lack of opportunity could pave the way for a fresh start elsewhere.
