Tom Brady reveals extra reason the Lions' offense is so hard to stop

As a player Tom Brady presided over some historically great offenses, but even he hasn't seen anything quite like what the 2024 Detroit Lions are doing.

Tom Brady reveals extra reason the Lions' offense is so hard to stop

While Brady made his own history with the 2007 New England Patriots, the Lions are also doing something that has been very impressive to the former quarterback. More than just the statistics they put up, Brady likes the mindset the Lions bring every week.

On SiriusXM NFL Radio's "Let's Go!," Brady credited the Lions for not only being able to keep teams off balance with regards to the run and the pass, but the specific edge they bring.

"I just think they do such a good job creating this uncertainty on defense. That's where you want to play offensively. Every offense wants to anticipate, wants to play with an attitude. I think they just do that better than everybody else. Barring any injuries on that team, the way they're playing, if they can continue with the work ethic and the humility to learn from mistakes, they're a tough team to beat."

The Lions are No. 3 in total offense, with top-10 rushing and passing offenses, while being the league's highest-scoring offense. They have shown no signs of slowing down, which as Brady knows bodes well for the stretch run and the playoffs.

Jared Goff praises how Lions' offense has bought in

After Wednesday's practice, Jared Goff was asked about the Lions' offense striving for perfection.

"I think we just have a group of guys that are so dang talented that we know what our potential can be. So, it becomes a waste if you're not trying to reach perfection and strive for that. It's really never attainable, but that's what you're going for and I think we've got a group of guys that are (not only) so dang talented, but also are such hard workers and want greatness and want to try to be some of the best ever. It's fun to work with those guys."

Not only are the Lions a talented team, but they have the intangible drive behind the scenes to hone their craft and continue to improve. That's a lethal combination.
