Tucker Kraft Makes Stunning Announcement Ahead Of Detroit Lions Matchup On Thursday

The Green Bay Packers are 9-3 this season and they practiced on Sunday ahead of the Thursday night matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions are 11-1 this season and they are looking to get one step closer to an NFC North title this season.

One of the stars on the Packers offense this season has been second-year tight end Tucker Kraft. He has played well in the passing game and also in the blocking game.

After practice on Sunday, many players on the Packers roster met with the media after practice. One of those players was Tucker Kraft. He was asked about Lions safety Kerby Joseph. Kraft said to Ryan Wood:

“He’s taken some of my brothers out of the game, and I think about that too. So if I get a chance to get my hands on him, you know, playing football.”

It is going to be interesting to see what happens if Kraft gets his hands on Joseph come Thursday night. Earlier in the season, Joseph’s teammate, Brian Branch was ejected against the Packers.

This season, Tucker Kraft has caught 36 passes for 480 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 13.3 yards per catch. He has been targeted 49 times this season. Kraft has a chance to go over 600 yards receiving in his second NFL season. He has become the number one tight end on the team because of injuries to Luke Musgrave.

Kraft caught four passes for 34 yards receiving and zero touchdowns in the last meeting against Detroit. He was targeted six times in that matchup. It will be interesting to see if Kraft will be more involved in the game plan against the Lions this time around. It would not be a surprise to see him make an impact in the running game and passing game against Detroit to prove a point.
