Vikings QB Sam Darnold Has New Injury

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold has been dealing with multiple injuries in the last two weeks. Darnold was placed on the Week 11 injury report for having an injury on his right (throwing) hand.

Darnold was limited during the team's first practice of the week but was a full participant for the last two days. The former USC standout went 20-of-32 for 246 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 23-13 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Darnold's name appeared on the Week 12 injury report for a new reason. Per the Vikings, the 27-year-old quarterback is dealing with a foot injury. He was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Darnold dealt with another injury earlier in the year when he suffered a knee bruise in the Vikings' 34-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 3. He did not miss time for the issue.

The Vikings 8-2 are set to travel to play the Chicago Bears (4-6) at Soldier Field on Sunday. The Bears have lost four consecutive games entering the Week 12 matchup. The Vikings have won three games in a row.

Darnold is having a solid year with a Vikings team that appears to be on their way to making the postseason. The former 2018 No. 3 overall pick by the New York Jets is 199-of-293 passing for 2,387 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
