There aren't many non-quarterbacks in the NFL that are better than Ja'Marr Chase. The wide receiver was easily the best at his position this past season -- and he could very well earn the Offensive Player of the Year award for his efforts in 2024.
Chase will likely end up the highest-paid non-quarterback when he gets a contract extension this offseason, too.
In year four, a fourth-straight Pro Bowl selection, Chase caught 127 passes from Joe Burrow for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was an incredible bright spot as the Cincinnati Bengals posted a 9-8 record during the campaign.
Chase is getting plenty of respect around the league. One of the best cornerbacks in the league recently had quite a bit to say about the LSU product, too.
Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II recently joined Kay Adams on "Up & Adams," where he gave Chase his flowers as the best wide receiver he faced this past season.
"We had our fair share of battles in college and in high school," Surtain II said. "Whenever we go up against each other, we know what it is. It's going to be a fun matchup."
Is Chase the best receiver Surtain II faced this past year?
"Yeah, definitely," Surtain II said. "Him and Joe connecting together, I think that's tough to stop. ...To be able to connect like that in the league, I think that's pretty dominant."
Late in the 2024 NFL season, Chase caught nine passes for 102 yards against the Browns as the Bengals secured a 30-24 overtime victory.
The tandem of Burrow and Chase is one of the best, if not the best, in the entire NFL. How the Bengals build around the expensive duo this offseason will determine what the club's future will look like, though.
