Fans of the Boston Celtics often joke about how the Atlanta Hawks tend to play better when their star floor general Trae Young is out. But the $100,000 fine levied on the Hawks for not playing Young in a recent tilt against the Celtics is no laughing matter, with the league having conducted an investigation as to whether the Atlanta point guard could have taken the floor against Boston earlier this month.

The crux of the matter is that an independent physician claims the Hawks sat Young when he sat for the game, against NBA policy for resting healthy players the league has been pushing in recent weeks.
