The Dallas Cowboys shared injury updates on offensive lineman Zack Martin and defensive lineman Linval Joseph ahead of the Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Martin was limited in practice on Thursday due to a shoulder injury, and Joseph was also limited because of a back injury. Both players did not practice on Wednesday.
Other players on the injury report are CB Trevon Diggs (calf), CB DaRon Bland (foot) and DE Micah Parsons (ankle). All three players did not practice for the second consecutive day. The rest of the injury report includes K Brandon Aubrey (NIR-Other, jury duty), CB Caelen Carson (shoulder, full participation), LB Eric Kendricks (shoulder, limited), DT Jordan Phillips (wrist, full) and LB Nick Vigil (foot, DNP).
Martin has been battling injuries all year but has played in every game. He missed some time during the Steelers game due to leg cramps and was on the injury report before the Lions game with a back injury. Martin has been with the Cowboys since he began his NFL career in 2014 and has been named to the Pro Bowl nine times.

In June, Martin talked about possibly returning at the end of the 2024 season. “I think I’d be lying if I said it has not entered my mind, right?” Martin said, per the Cowboys’ official website. “I think that’s been a big thing for me this year, just try to tell myself, ‘Hey, go out, do your thing and let anything else take care of itself after the season.’ I don’t know when I’ll be done, but it’s definitely getting closer to the end.”
Joseph signed with the Cowboys in August after spending the 2023 season with the Buffalo Bills. He has played in the NFL since the 2010 season and has also spent time with the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles. Joseph is a two-time Pro Bowler and won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 2011.
