NFL analyst absolutely torches media coverage of Titans' Cam Ward pick in fiery rant

It's only Monday afternoon and I'm already drowning in draft takes.

It's not all that surprising – SEO changes wait for no man, and there are GRADES and REACTIONS and DOOM to sell to the masses. You'd think that draft conversation would slow to a halt after, you know, the event ended, but that's foolish – why stop talking about something that's ended when you can belabor the point for another three months?

Fortunately, among all the pointless and redundant draft takes that are floating around the internet right now, a singular star stands out among the rest. Kyle Brandt, who's certainly no stranger to made-for-TV rants, came to work with an absolute HEATER on Monday. It's so good, in fact, that it almost makes you forget how annoying Cable Sports Pundrity has gotten. Brandt had some things to say about the media's general lack of interest in talking about Cam Ward going to the Titans, and reader, he did not miss.

Kyle Brandt's rant about the lack of attention for Cam Ward is the best thing Titans fans will see all day

"Guys, this is history," he said. "I've never, ever, seen less focus, less buzz, less anything on the number one overall pick in the draft ... Cam Ward is sitting there, number one, and it's like he has a two-syllable name, and we're halfway through the first syllable and it's like, 'let's talk Shedeur.' Shedeur was very interesting, very compelling, but let's just take one hot second to be, like, Cam Ward, incredible journey. Zero star recruit, three deifferent colleges. You're the best player in the draft looking down on all these Ohio State guys and Georgia guys, and you went to Incarnate Word. Cam Ward's coolest thing is that there's nothign to talk about, because he doesn't give anthing to talk about, because he's that solid as a person and as a player ... I know he's a hell of a football player and deserves credit for that."

I am JACKED up. I mean, my adrenaline is pumping. No one believes in the Titans! Cam Ward has more haters than anyone in the history of sports! The Titans need to build an entirely new, state-of-the-art bulletin board just to hang this up on.

It also feels notable that this rant is coming on the NFL's own TV channel? I'm not sure why exactly that makes it feel more notable, but it does. The NFL endorses the fact that no one believes in the Titans and Cam Ward, which is exactly where they want to be heading into the season. Maybe Cable Sports Punditry is actually good?
