Packers Trade Proposal Sends Top Trade Candidate To The Baltimore Ravens

The Green Bay Packers, for the first time in nearly a decade, have an abundance of quality receivers on the roster.

Whilst there is still doubt as to whether any of them is a true WR1 – yet, there is no question that the Packers have far more viable options at the position than they’ve had a very long time.

This is likely a key reason why Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox has fourth year Green Bay wide receiver, Romeo Doubs on his trade block “big board” heading into training camp, coming in at #6.

“There’s a chance Doubs could be available this season.” Knox wrote on Saturday, “He’s entering the final year of his rookie contract and is likely to face a lot of competition during training camp.

Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks are back, and the Packers used first- and third-round picks on Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, respectively, in April. If Green Bay decides to move one of its young pass-catchers, Doubs—who topped 600 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons—would be a logical candidate.”

And place that could make a lot of sense for Doubs is none other than the Baltimore Ravens, division rivals to former Green Bay QB, Aaron Rodgers‘ new team, the Pittsburgh Steelers

Why Would It Make Sense For The Packers To Send Doubs To Baltimore?

The Ravens have had a pretty good return on investment from young wideout, Zay Flowers, who cracked 1,000 receiving yards in 2024 en route to making his very first Pro Bowl.

But outside of that, there are few difference makers on the perimeter. Rashod Bateman has proved himself to be a capable #3 option, breaking his record for receiving yards last season with 756, in addition to an impressive 9 touchdowns. And free agent acquisition, DeAndre Hopkins, has still got something in the tank despite turning 33 earlier this month.

But for a team who is still looking to make their first Super Bowl appearance under franchise quarterback, the options at the offensive skill positions in the passing game need to be sharper than we have seen in the past, if they are to finally break through the elite class of the AFC: the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

Would The Packers Willingly Move Romeo Doubs?

Every man has his price, and certainly every NFL player does too.

There does not seem to be any lingering ill-will between Doubs and the Packers brass after an incident last fall that resulted in the former Nevada product’s suspension in Week 5 of last year. However, between rookies, Golden and Williams, and third-year pro, Jayden Reed, alongside the still-ascending Dontayvion Wicks, Doubs is hardly even a lock to be named as a starter come Week 1.

Factor in the return of Christian Watson, who is still expected to be around for the mid-latter stages of 2025 – and may be the most talented receiver of the whole group – and Doubs’ equity with the organization feels substantially reduced.

Baltimore Ravens receive: Romeo Doubs, 2026 sixth round pick.

Green Bay Packers receive: 2026 Fifth Round Pick, 2027 seventh round pick.
