The Red Sox look to continue their win streak in the second game of a four-game series against the White Sox.
Trevor Story led Boston to a 10-3 win over Chicago at Fenway Park on Friday. The two-home run performance helped Hunter Dobbins earn his second major league win. However, it was short-lived as the right-hander was optioned to Triple-A after Liam Hendriks was activated off the injured list.
He could come in relief for Garrett Crochet, who will start again against his former team. The left-hander nearly threw a no-hitter in his last outing last Sunday. Crochet tossed 7 1/3 innings and 11 strikeouts, and he’ll hope to give the Fenway Faithful a similar performance Saturday.
To back him up, the Red Sox will have Triston Casas and Wilyer Abreu back in the lineup against right-hander Shane Smith. Story’s performance moved him up to fourth in the order with Abreu at fifth. Casas will bat seventh behind Kristian Campbell.
First pitch for Saturday’s Boston-Chicago at Fenway Park is scheduled at 4:10 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN after an hour of pregame.
